great artists.

I read a quote by Rob Bell last year that has had me thinking ever since it entered my brain. It's been lingering on my mind the past couple weeks since school and studio and life has started back up again and I wanted to share it here.

"That's what great artists do.
That's what great people do.
They ask it. They say it. They express it.
They out in words what so many others are thinking and feeling and wondering. They affirm that you aren't the only one having this experience."
-Rob Bell

I think what I loved about that quote so much was how true it was. Whether someones an artist or not, we all want to feel like someone else agrees with us, feels the same way, shares something in common with us. I think it's human nature.
But what does the quote mean to you?

Here are some other things that have been inspiring me lately, found via Pinterest:

The beginning of Typography

Today in our first class of Visual Communications 202, also known as Typography, we watched a Ted Talk by Andrew Bryom called "If H is a Chair". He talked about his inspiration for typefaces he designed from things he saw in everyday life like a chair. We were then broken up into groups to find the word "PLAY" in everyday life. Below is what my group came up with.
