#ASOSoncampus

Starting this fall semester I have been a KU campus rep for ASOS, an online fashion brand that sells mens and womens clothing, accessories, shoes, etc. of their own brand as well as many of my favorite brands like Free People, Wildfox, Mink Pink, and many others. I'm so excited to have this opportunity as it's been so much fun so far as well as a great experience working with ASOS as well as the people at Youth Marketing Connection.

This last Saturday I had my first big event on campus, "Game Day/Big Event Fashion Spotter" where I went around tailgates before the KU vs. Texas Tech homecoming game and handed out free ASOS goodies to college students. I handed out an assortment of free things such as cups, bottle opener key chains, sunglasses, and even some $50 gift cards to the most fashionably dressed students! I wanted to share a few photos from the event, but you can see the whole album here.

The students loved getting the freebies as much as I loved handing them out!

Loved this gift card winner's sunflower leggings. Perfect for a Kansas game day!

Another gift card winner - looking cute in her red game day maxi!

My ASOS denim shirt was perfect for game day!

The best part was handing out the $50 gift cards, cause some of the recipients were SO excited!

dreaming of summer

My friend Sidney and I took my new camera out this summer for a little photo shoot just for fun.
We channeled our inner Free People and took to the fields of Wichita. Below are the results.

Spring Break Style

Spring break was just last week and I headed west with my friend Kaitlyn to the great state of California. While our trip started out colder than expected, that beautiful Cali weather finally showed up about three days in and I was able to break out some of my favorite spring and summer attire. Check out some of my favorite current trends below.

// High waisted & distressed shorts.
You can see the ones I'm  wearing in the picture
below too, but I loved wearing all of my DIY shorts in Cali.
(I made those shorts from $4 shorts from Goodwill!
Distressing shorts is so easy, I'll probably make a million pairs for the summer.
I even added my own studs on the front pockets.)

// Rounded sunglass frames.
I ordered these from FreePeople.com for spring break.

// Hair wraps.
Kaitlyn and I both have these hair wraps from Free People.
I was so excited to rock mine over spring break!
// white Converse.
One of my recent trend obsessions is white low top Converse.
They seem to be more popular these days in Kansas and Kaitlyn
let me borrow her pair in Cali. I have got to order some of my own soon.

// crocheted shorts.
I bought the cream crochet shorts seen here while shopping in Cali.
They go with so many things - I'm so glad the weather is finally warming
up here in Kansas so I can wear my new shorts ASAP. (Also pictured here,
the sunglasses and hair wrap from above).

California is my new favorite place to be and I can't wait until I go back!

// Musical Musings.
While in Cali, Kaitlyn and I went to the Imagine Dragons concert. They were absolutely amazing live, so you should check out their tour schedule and see if they're coming to a city near you! If you've never heard their music I'd recommend the songs Demons, Tip Toe, and On Top of the World. Those are three of my favorites.

kansas at sunset.

My friend Kaitlyn and I hopped a fence and brought along a camera for a mini photo-shoot to show off the vest I made this past week. She agreed to let me style her to be apart of the shoot as well, so the vest is shown in a dressed up as well as a more casual look. I'm still experimenting with photography and photoshop but I loved the Kansas-at-sunset setting we stumbled upon.

// vest: made by me
// dress: francesca's
// necklace: charming charlie's
// tights: gap
// boots: steve madden

// top: j. crew
// jeans: gap
// socks: eddie bauer
// shoes: converse

kaitlyn styled the shoes and socks herself and
I love the look so much. i have cool friends.

If you want to see more details on how I made the vest check out my previous post here.
